Artist Lix North with her dystopian canary oil painting 'Seer', now featured on the cover of 'Weridscapes - An Otherworldly Anthology' by Ink Alchemy Books

From Dollhouse to Weirdscapes

As many of you know, our lead singer Lix was the artist behind the Dollhouse album cover. When not writing and performing with Medollic she’s an award winning fine artist, exhibiting internationally, while also finding time to run her graphic art studio, creating album artwork and creative branding for other bands and artists around the world.

For those we know like to collect Medollic-related pop culture, Lix’s artwork now adorns the cover of newly released short fiction collection ‘Weirdscapes – An Otherworldly Anthology’ published by Ink Alchemy Books (Ithaca, NY).

Showcasing works of short fiction by authors Naomi Daniluk, Leah Erickson, Augusto Luiz Facchini, Odin Meadows, Tom Ray, Bendix Ross and E.N. Welsh, Weirdscapes is a collection of “stories set in unusual, sometimes surreal, locations. From an alien planet to the core of our own, the inside of a coffin to the afterlife, parallel universes to the inner landscape of the mind.”

Featured on the cover, Lix’s oil painting ‘Seer’ traverses themes of perception, transformation, and the boundaries between different states of being – concepts that resonate deeply with the anthology’s exploration of otherworldly places and inner landscapes.

The anthology, released in paperback, July 2025, is now available on Amazon worldwide, including Australia, USA, Canada, and the UK, and from Barnes & Noble (USA). It will also be on the shelves of the following physical book stores in Ithaca, NY: Buffalo Street Books, Odyssey Bookstore, Card Carrying Books & Gifts.
